Ero abbagliata dal sole

quando la tua freccia

mi colpì al cuore.

Incredula,

la strappai dal corpo

e la gettai lontano.

Lo so, non mi volevi ferire.

Volevi salvare una squaw

inseguita da un giaguaro.

Lei si salvò

ma la punta acuminata

rimase conficcata

nel mio cuore.

Sopravvivo

ma ogni volta che mi abbracci

s’addentra sempre più

e sanguina il mio cuore

ferito.

and The Squaw

I was blinded by the sun

when your arrow struck my heart.

Incredulos, 

I ripped it from my body

and I threw it away.

I know, you didn't want to hurt me.

You wanted to save a squaw

chased by a jaguar.

She saved herself

but the sharp tip

remained stuck in my heart.

I survive

but every time you embrace me

it enter more and more

and bleeds my wounded heart.
